We’re scaling fast and looking for a creative powerhouse to own our social media presence across TikTok, Instagram, and beyond. This role is for someone who lives and breathes culture, can turn ideas into viral content, and wants to help lead the charge in redefining how people connect.

Social Media Manager Role Overview The Social Media Manager will be responsible for creating, posting, and managing content that drives massive awareness and engagement for The Room. You’ll be the voice and pulse of our brand — capturing raw, authentic, and exciting moments that inspire people to download the app and join the movement. This role blends content creation, strategy, and community engagement into one. You’ll work directly with the founder to shape our brand narrative and bring it to life daily.

Key Responsibilities

Content Creation:

Concept, film, and edit high‑quality short‑form videos (TikTok, Reels, YouTube Shorts). Capture authentic in‑person footage that reflects The Room’s mission and vibe. Repurpose user‑generated content and viral trends that align with our brand tone.

Social Media Management:

Post daily across all platforms, ensuring consistent voice, timing, and storytelling. Track engagement, performance, and audience growth — and adjust strategy accordingly. Develop and maintain a content calendar that aligns with launches, campaigns, and events.

Community Engagement:

Actively respond to comments, DMs, and mentions to build a loyal community. Engage with creators, influencers, and local communities to amplify The Room’s reach. Spark conversations that make followers feel seen, valued, and part of something bigger.

Creative Strategy:

Brainstorm campaign ideas, viral challenges, and storytelling angles. Stay ahead of social trends and platform changes to keep The Room culturally relevant. Collaborate with the team to align content with marketing goals and app milestones.

Requirements

Proven experience managing and growing social media accounts (preferably TikTok + IG).

Strong skills in video editing (CapCut, Premiere, or similar).

Ability to create and post high‑volume, high‑quality content quickly.

Excellent communication and copywriting skills.

Deep understanding of social trends, meme culture, and community tone.

Bonus Points

You’ve worked with startups or lifestyle brands before.You’re based in or familiar with the Newport Beach / SoCal social scene.You can show a portfolio of content that’s gone viral or driven real engagement.
