The
Automation SQA Engineer
supports enterprise-level software initiatives by developing, executing, and maintaining
automated test frameworks
to ensure application reliability and compliance with business requirements. This role works closely with software developers, QA peers, and business stakeholders to validate functionality, drive test coverage, and ensure the highest standards of
software quality and performance . The engineer will apply
automation tools, Agile methodologies , and structured testing principles to enhance operational efficiency and software integrity. Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and execute
test plans ,
test cases , and
test scripts
(manual and automated) aligned with project requirements. Collaborate with
development and product teams
to understand system specifications, workflows, and user requirements. Conduct
functional, regression, smoke, and integration testing
for new and existing applications. Utilize automation tools to build reusable test assets that support continuous integration and delivery. Document and track defects in the
Enterprise Defect Tracking System , ensuring timely follow-up and resolution. Diagnose and troubleshoot application/system issues and propose effective solutions. Participate in Agile ceremonies, review use cases, and contribute to release readiness activities. Create and maintain
SOPs and testing templates
for consistent testing standards. Execute
software upgrade testing , ensuring compliance with corporate quality standards. Present testing findings and defect summaries to IT and business stakeholders. Required Experience
Bachelor’s degree in
Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field , or equivalent work experience. 5+ years of IT experience , including
2+ years in Software Quality Assurance
with increasing responsibility. Proficiency in
automation tools
and scripting languages. Demonstrated ability to create and execute structured testing plans and defect documentation. Strong
analytical and problem-solving
skills with high attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for collaboration across teams. Ability to work independently and manage multiple testing efforts concurrently. Nice-to-Have Experience
Certification as a
Software Test Engineer (CSTE)
or
Quality Analyst (CQA) . Working knowledge of
Selenium with C# ,
SpecFlow ,
Microsoft Test Manager , and
Team Foundation Server (TFS) . Familiarity with
Agile testing frameworks
and version control systems. Required Skills
