Tax Manager – Withum
Withum’s Tax Services Group is comprised of expert tax specialists who ensure accurate and timely tax reporting while minimizing tax liability.
The group works across international, U.S. federal, state, and local regulations and provides services in business, individual, state & local tax, R&D tax credit, and private client tax.
As a Healthcare Tax Manager based in New Jersey, NYC, San Francisco, or Philadelphia, you will lead all aspects of tax engagements, supervise and mentor staff, and build and maintain client relationships.
Responsibilities
Coordinate the review and filing of annual tax returns, including Forms 1040, 1065, 1120, and 1120‑S.
Work on various tax consulting special projects.
Attend professional tax webinars and industry presentations.
Support and coordinate with the audit and consulting teams.
Contribute to the continued development of staff and the growth of the firm’s healthcare niche practice.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting and a CPA license, JD, or Master of Science in Taxation.
At least 5 years of experience in a public‑accounting tax department, with a track record of leading multiple engagements and supervising staff.
Excellent analytical and technical tax skills.
Exceptional client‑service and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships.
Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing projects in a fast‑paced, results‑based team environment.
Strong leadership, training, and mentoring skills, coupled with excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
Excellent organizational, project‑management skills, and strong attention to detail.
Compensation Pay varies by location: New Jersey $95,000 – $185,000; New York City $105,000 – $160,000; San Francisco $135,000 – $170,000. Withum offers a competitive benefits package and bonus program based on individual and firm performance.
