Are you a visionary leader ready to make a lasting impact on the field of outpatient surgical care? Sight Partners is looking for a transformative Senior Director of Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASC) to lead and elevate seven premier ophthalmic surgery centers across Washington and Alaska. This is a leadership role focused on clinical performance, operational efficiency, and strategic growth, partnering with executive leadership and physician partners to deliver exceptional patient care while steering enterprise-level initiatives. Duties And Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership and Integration: Develop and execute a comprehensive ASC operating plan aligned with long-range strategic initiatives, clinical programs, and market expansion goals. Lead feasibility analyses and business cases for geographic growth, joint-venture opportunities, and new service lines, ensuring cultural alignment and financial viability. ASC Operations Management: Direct day-to-day clinical and administrative operations for all ASCs, optimizing scheduling, patient flow, staffing, and supply chain efficiency. Standardize workflows, equipment, and vendor contracts across locations using Lean and continuous improvement methods. Oversee information systems, including perioperative EHR, inventory, and analytics platforms, ensuring data integrity and interoperability with revenue-cycle systems. Financial Performance: Partner with the Director of Finance and executive leadership to develop, implement, and monitor robust ASC operating budgets across all locations, ensuring alignment with enterprise-wide financial strategies and growth objectives. Drive disciplined financial stewardship by establishing and monitoring productivity dashboards, service-line profitability reports, and cost-containment initiatives while maintaining uncompromising patient care standards. Conduct monthly variance analysis, proactively identifying trends, risks, and opportunities; design and execute corrective action plans to achieve or exceed established KPIs. Lead vendor and payer negotiations to optimize pricing, reimbursement, and contract terms, delivering measurable improvements in margins and cash flow. Establish multi-year capital planning processes for surgical technology, facility upgrades, and IT systems, balancing ROI, patient experience, and long-term competitiveness. Collaborate with physician leadership to align surgical block utilization, case-mix optimization, and growth strategies with financial performance goals. Provide quarterly presentations to the Board and physician partners summarizing ASC financial performance, including revenue cycle metrics, margin analysis, and future projections. Champion a culture of financial accountability at all levels of ASC management, ensuring ASC Managers and supervisors understand and manage key financial and operational metrics. Patient Safety & Quality: Promote a culture of zero harm and continuous quality improvement through data analysis, patient satisfaction reviews, and benchmarking. Chair or co-chair ASC QAPI, Safety, and Policy & Procedure committees, ensure corrective actions are implemented and monitored. Provider and Staff Relations: Supervise ASC Managers, including hiring, coaching, performance reviews, and succession planning. Maintain transparent communication with surgeons, RNs, CRNAs, providers, and clinical staff to align operations with clinical best practices. Technology and Data Analytics: Oversee selection, deployment, and optimization of surgical technologies, ophthalmic imaging systems, and analytics platforms. Use real-time analytics to guide operational decisions, forecast demand, and support strategic investments. Risk Management & Emergency Preparedness: Develop, maintain, and test emergency operations plans for fire, natural disaster, and infectious disease events. Lead incident reporting, root cause analysis, and follow-up to reduce risk and improve safety. Requirements

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Expertise in ASC workflows, surgical services management, and reimbursement systems. Deep knowledge of healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and payer rules. Strong financial acumen, including budget development, cost analysis, and contract negotiation. Proven leadership in building trust, leading cross-disciplinary teams, and mentoring emerging leaders. Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills with a focus on transparent, two-way communication. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, G-Suite, EMR/PM systems, and analytics tools. Travel up to 30% between ASC locations. Education And Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, healthcare, or related field Master of Business Administration preferred Eight (8) years of progressive leadership in ASC or hospital outpatient operations, with proven success managing multi-site facilities, budgets, and regulatory surveys. Licensure & Certifications: clinical licensure (MD or RN) (CASA) credentials are desirable. Benefits
