Responsibilities
Execution of tasks in operational purchasing by using appropriate tools and processes
Serve as back‑office for Evonik Procurement Organization
Ensure purchase order processing, request for quotation and complaint management
Coordinate supplier selection, requirements and prices with responsible lead buyer or category manager
Ensure compliance standards are held
Manage adjusted/completed procurement process SOP where required
Continuously improve purchasing process
Identify process savings potentials
Work according to an assigned schedule
Requirements
University degree in Procurement/Purchasing, Finance, Business or Secondary / Intermediate + (5 GCSE)
Minimum of 2‑3 years of experience working with Procurement or Supply Chain, Vendor onboarding or Invoice processing
Good speaking, writing, and reading skills in English
First experiences in S2P process‑related areas
Customer orientation and cooperation with strong interpersonal skills
Familiar with Office 365 environment
SAP S/4 ERP system or Ariba knowledge
Uses clear and effective elementary verbal communication skills under supervision to express ideas, request actions and formulate plans or policies
Uses an elementary understanding of numerical concepts to perform mathematical operations such as report analysis under supervision
Supports business processes under supervision by applying an elementary understanding and effective use of standard office equipment and standard software packages
Works under supervision at an elementary level to plan, organize, prioritize, and oversee activities to efficiently meet business objectives
Works under supervision at an elementary level to develop, monitor, interpret and understand policies and procedures, while making sure they match organizational strategies and objectives
Works under supervision to perform elementary data analysis for use in reports to help guide decision making
