Area Human Resources Manager . This position will have human resources responsibility and oversee HR functions for various locations in the Sterling area, reporting to the Area Director of Human Resources. Position Summary : The Area Human Resources Manager ensures sound and consistent personnel practices, compliant with company policies and state, local and Federal laws. It requires active and vigorous leadership in all interactions with team members, guests and the community, with emphasis on the Quality Pledge, Standards of Service, and the Mission Statement. Responsible for managing all HR responsibilities for multiple hotel properties in the Dulles region under the direction of the Area Human Resources Director. Specific Responsibilities : Provide impartial treatment to all team members through proper personnel practices and employment policies across the organization. Ensure recruitment of the most qualified exempt applicants through proper administration of the employment function, including knowledge of pre-employment laws such as EEO/AAP/ADA/Immigration. Maintain a professional and ethical image for all staff members within the organization. Protect the owners from team member litigation. Provide tools to enhance team member satisfaction through training, such as orientation, technical skills training, management development training, and interpersonal skills training. Direct and administer team member relations to facilitate morale. Direct wage and salary programs to attract and retain qualified personnel. Function as a key member of the property’s management team. Provide effective, confidential administrative support to the General Manager. Maintain liaison between all departments, the General Manager and Corporate Human Resources. Provide direct assistance to team members and guests when appropriate. Performance Standards : Effectiveness will be measured by the achievement of goals including: meeting planned team member turnover targets as stated in the Mission Statement and measured by the Turn-over Report; timely achievement of actions in the Annual Goals and Actions Worksheet; effective implementation of company HR policy and procedures as measured by the Performance Appraisal system; keeping hotel in compliance with EEO/AAP/ADA/FMLA/INS/OSHA regulations; and satisfactory achievement on the Human Resources section of Progress Report audits. Position Requirements : Experience:

1-2 years of progressive experience and a track record of success in hotel, private business, or government, including HR responsibilities. Education:

College degree preferred Desirable Qualifications : Experience in hotel HR (minimum 100 employees). Degree in Human Resources or related field. Certification through Educational Institute or SHRM. Ability to speak, read, and write in English; bilingual ability (Spanish) strongly preferred for translation between Spanish and English. Physical Requirements : Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 20 pounds occasionally. Benefits
