The Assistant Golf Course Superintendent plays a crucial role in the maintenance and management of the golf course grounds. Working closely with the Golf Course Superintendent, this position involves overseeing daily operations, scheduling maintenance tasks, managing a team of groundskeepers, and ensuring the course meets the highest standards. The Assistant helps develop and execute maintenance programs, irrigation schedules, pest and disease control strategies, and turf management plans. They assist in budgeting, equipment maintenance, purchasing supplies, and record-keeping. This role requires a deep understanding of agronomy, horticulture, and turfgrass management. Responsibilities

Oversee daily operations and scheduling of maintenance tasks for the golf course. Manage a team of groundskeepers and coordinate work assignments. Ensure the course meets high standards of playability and appearance. Develop and execute maintenance programs, irrigation schedules, pest and disease control strategies, and turf management plans. Assist in budgeting, equipment maintenance, purchasing supplies, and record-keeping. Qualifications

Degree in turfgrass management, horticulture, or related field preferred. Experience in golf course maintenance. Strong leadership and communication skills. Knowledge of agronomy, turfgrass species, irrigation systems, fertilizers, and pest control methods. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
