Position Overview The University of California, San Francisco, Division of Cardiology is seeking an Associate Chief for Ambulatory Cardiology to lead operations of a rapidly growing clinic and multiple subspecialty clinics. The role reports directly to the Cardiology Division Chief and works closely with the Director of Ambulatory Cardiology, Director of the Heart and Vascular Center, and other Division, Departmental, and Health System leaders to develop and execute strategies for continued growth and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
Direct and oversee operations of multi-faceted ambulatory cardiology services.
Collaborate with administrative leadership to create and implement operational plans.
Drive growth initiatives and ensure world‑class patient service.
Provide clinical leadership as an outpatient cardiologist, including attending inpatient and consult services and echo lab duties as required.
Qualifications and Eligibility
Board certified or board eligible in Cardiovascular Disease with presence in ambulatory cardiology.
Expertise in building and leading programs or strong potential to do so.
MD (or equivalent), MD/PhD, or MD/MPH degree(s); qualified for appointment at Instructor, Assistant, Associate, or Professor level.
Expected to maintain an ambulatory practice and participate in clinical and academic activities.
