Senior Data & Business Analyst
to join its Accounting & Finance team. This is a highly visible role designed for a collaborative, analytical, and forward‑thinking professional who can turn complex data into actionable business insights.
Reporting directly to firm leadership, this individual will play a critical role in developing and optimizing business intelligence systems, driving performance analytics, and strengthening financial reporting capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with the CFO and finance leadership to design, implement, and maintain business intelligence dashboards, reports, and tools.
Utilize SQL Server (T‑SQL, SSRS, SSIS) and BI platforms such as Power BI or Tableau to analyze financial and operational data.
Collaborate with accounting, IT, and practice group leaders to translate business needs into data solutions that support strategic decision‑making.
Conduct in‑depth financial analysis, including profitability, utilization, and performance metrics across departments and practice groups.
Develop and refine data models, OLAP cubes, and integrations to support firm‑wide reporting initiatives.
Benchmark firm performance against peer data and provide insights to drive continuous improvement.
Oversee data consistency and system integrations across platforms (e.g., Aderant, Intapp, HRIS, and payroll).
Support and train users to maximize adoption of data visualization and reporting tools.
Troubleshoot system variances and ensure data accuracy and integrity in all reports and dashboards.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience
in financial or data analysis, ideally within a law firm or professional services environment.
Hands‑on experience with
Aderant Expert ,
Intapp , or similar financial systems required.
Expertise with
Microsoft SQL Server (T‑SQL, SSRS, SSIS) ; experience with
SSAS/OLAP
preferred.
Proficiency in
business intelligence tools
such as Power BI, Tableau, or Cognos.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial modeling, and data visualization best practices.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field (advanced degree a plus).
Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills with the ability to convey insights to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
High attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, hybrid work environment.
Hybrid schedule:
In‑office presence may be required one day per week for collaboration and team projects.
