This role is a critical leadership position ensuring that all software‑driven and system‑level products are developed, validated, and launched with world‑class quality, performance, and robustness. The senior manager will define and drive the system test strategy, champion Hardware‑in‑the‑Loop (HIL) and model‑based validation, and build predictive quality practices that ensure five‑star customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Lead the development and execution of a system‑level quality strategy encompassing software, electronics, and mechanical integration.

Define and implement Hardware‑in‑the‑Loop (HIL) and model‑based validation frameworks to ensure real‑world robustness and reliability.

Establish measurable quality goals for system performance, responsiveness, and user satisfaction.

Champion the integration of quality‑by‑design principles throughout the product development lifecycle—from concept to field deployment.

Develop a unified test strategy that bridges unit, integration, and system testing with automated pipelines and continuous validation.

Collaborate with development teams to embed testability and observability into the system architecture.

Oversee creation and validation of system models, simulation environments, and digital twins for predictive quality insights.

Ensure testing strategies align with functional safety and regulatory standards (ISO 26262, ASPICE, IEC 61508).

Lead FMEA, fault injection, and failure modeling activities to proactively identify and mitigate software and integration risks.

Drive adoption of data‑driven quality metrics (e.g., defect density, MTBF, reliability growth) to forecast and prevent quality escapes.

Partner with Data Analytics and Systems Engineering to correlate lab validation data with field performance for continuous predictability improvement.

Serve as the voice of quality across multi‑disciplinary development teams—bridging software, firmware, hardware, and validation disciplines.

Collaborate with Manufacturing, Service, and Customer Experience teams to ensure smooth system integration and high post‑launch reliability.

Mentor engineering and quality teams in modern testing methodologies, including HIL, simulation, CI/CD validation, and system stress testing.

Analyze in‑field quality data and customer feedback to close the loop between development, validation, and customer satisfaction.

Lead initiatives that translate system learnings into design improvements for next‑generation products.

Drive a culture of continuous improvement, quality transparency, and technical excellence.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field required.

Advanced degree (MS, MBA, or equivalent) preferred.

8–12 years of progressive experience in software or systems quality, system validation, or test automation in a technology or embedded systems environment.

3–5 years in a leadership or senior‑level role driving software/system quality strategy.

Proven track record in HIL implementation, model‑based testing, and system‑level validation.

Deep understanding of software development life cycles (SDLC), V‑model, and agile validation frameworks.

Strong expertise in test architecture, system simulation, and automation tools (MATLAB/Simulink, dSPACE, NI, Python‑based frameworks).

Knowledge of embedded systems, HW–SW integration, and system reliability engineering.

Familiarity with relevant quality and regulatory standards (ISO 9001, ISO 26262, ASPICE, IEC 61508, etc.).

Demonstrated ability to translate system‑level data into actionable quality insights and to lead multidisciplinary teams toward measurable improvement.
