Data Center Infrastructure Manager (911 Operations Support)
We are seeking an experienced Data Center Infrastructure Manager to support the OUC-IT team in maintaining, optimizing, and modernizing the 911 Emergency Operations data center and RF antenna sites. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise in critical infrastructure management, electrical and HVAC systems, and data center operations to ensure uninterrupted emergency communication services. Key Responsibilities Monitor, manage, and report on electrical power, HVAC, and environmental performance across 911 data center and remote sites. Evaluate electrical, environmental, and network capacity to identify risks and implement mitigation strategies. Coordinate preventive maintenance, upgrades, and vendor activities without disrupting 911 operations. Conduct failover testing, inspections, and audits of critical infrastructure. Develop and maintain standard operating procedures, including emergency and disaster recovery protocols. Lead data center projects, from scope definition to vendor coordination and implementation. Review RFPs/SOWs and recommend improvements in design and operational efficiency. Ensure compliance with TIA-942 and Uptime Institute Tier Standards for mission?critical facilities.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Facilities Management (or equivalent). 10+ years of experience managing data centers or mission?critical facilities (power, cooling, HVAC). Proven experience in project and vendor management. Strong knowledge of data center architecture, power distribution, and environmental systems. Familiarity with TIA?942, Uptime Institute, and other data center standards. Excellent communication, risk management, and leadership skills.
Preferred Certifications
CDCP, CDCS, BICSI, or PMP certification. Experience supporting public safety or 911 infrastructure environments is a strong plus.
