Platform Engineer with Security Clearance
Platform Engineer Location: McLean, Virginia Serve as a Platform Engineer Design, deploy, maintain, and secure platform infrastructure. Support data integration efforts. Build, maintain, and optimize underlying infrastructure to support Artificial Intelligence (AI) workloads. Qualifications:
Cluster Management: Extensive experience with Kubernetes clusters to include designing, deploying, securing, maintaining, upgrading highly available and scalable solutions (e.g., EKS, AKS, GKE, OpenShift, or self‑managed) and ensuring control plane components, worker nodes, and their interactions. Containerization & Orchestration: Proficient with Docker and containerization best practices. Networking: Strong understanding of Kubernetes networking concepts. Security: Expertise in securing Kubernetes environments and network security. Performance & Optimization: Optimize resources and implement best practices for cluster tuning. CI/CD Tooling: Hands‑on experience with popular CI/CD platforms like Jenkins and GitLab CI/CD. Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Proficiency with tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation. Experience with Helm charts and customizing for Kubernetes application packaging and deployment. Automation Scripting: Strong scripting skills in languages like Python, Go, Bash, or similar. Linux/Unix: Background in Linux, including networking, file systems, and process management. Relevant certifications such as CKA, CKAD, CKS, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert. Additional Qualifications:
Experience with Kubernetes operators and custom resource definitions (CRDs). Building internal developer platforms (IDPs). Travel up to 20% of the time, as required, for on‑site installations and maintenance. Have current IAM Level II to satisfy DOD 8570 IAT requirements; Active DoD TS/SCI with a Counterintelligence Polygraph (CIP) Clearance.
