SAIC is seeking Network Engineers to join the Machine‑assisted Analytic Rapid‑repository System (MARS) Advanced Development Operations (DevOps) and Sustainment Support (ADOS) program and provide on‑site technical and administrative support to facilitate operations of critical MARS infrastructure and services. This effort focuses on providing a comprehensive set of System/Software Engineering and IT Services to maintain, sustain, enhance, and modernize MARS. This position will be located in the National Capital Region. (This is contingent upon contract award, with an anticipated decision expected by Winter/Spring 2026.)

Responsibilities

Ensures effective dataflow management and orchestration policy enforcement

Monitors real‑time operations data and contributes insights to operational dashboards, enforcing content inspection and guard interfaces, and recommending system and software maintenance activities

Supports Tier‑2 on‑site and remote break/fix services to address network issues promptly

Qualifications

Active TS/SCI with Polygraph

One of the following certifications: CompTIA Security+, CompTIA Network+, CEH, Cloud+, SecurityX/ CASP+, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), CCNP Security, CCSP, GSEC, Certified Network Defender (CND)

Bachelor's degree in IT, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or Software Engineering and 5 years or more relevant experience (or 4+ years of relevant experience in lieu of degree)

Perform network configuration, maintenance, and optimization with moderate supervision

Design and implement network solutions based on project requirements and security guidelines

Conduct troubleshooting and issue resolution for complex network problems

Participate in network performance monitoring and optimization efforts

Provide guidance to junior engineers and assist with network‑related documentation

Proficiency with network protocols and configurations (e.g., OSPF, BGP, VLANs, QoS)

Experience with network hardware and tools, including routers, switches, firewalls, and monitoring systems

Ability to independently diagnose and resolve network issues

Understanding of cybersecurity practices and standards in a network context

Target salary range:

$80,001 – $120,000
