Location: San Francisco, CA 94109
Assignment Type: Travel Operating Room RN
Duration: 13‑week contract
Hours per Week: 40
Shift: 4x10 hour day shifts (start times: 7:00am, 9:00am, 11:00am, or 1:00pm), rotating weekends and overtime available
Estimated Weekly Salary: $2,490 - $2,670
Patient Population: Neonates, Infants, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics
Unit: Operating Room (12 surgical suites)
Special Procedures: Cardiac, hepatobiliary, ophthalmology, general surgery, gynecology, ortho spine, neurosurgery, robotic surgery, ENT, oral, pediatric
Special Equipment: Da Vinci, Ion, Globus, cataract and vitrectomy machines, Brainlab
Registered Nurse Qualifications
Active California Registered Nurse license (required at time of submission)
BLS certification (AHA required)
Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience
Scrub and circulate experience required
Experience in cardiac, hepatobiliary, robotic, spine, and ophthalmology services preferred
Epic charting experience preferred
CNOR certification preferred
Must be available for lab work within 3-5 days of signing
Ability to work rotating weekends (every other weekend required)
Must be able to float to other San Francisco healthcare locations if census is low
Operating Room Nurse Responsibilities
Deliver direct and indirect patient care to surgical patients and their families
Utilize the nursing process for comprehensive patient assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation
Provide individualized, holistic care in a fast‑paced OR environment
Develop and coordinate interdisciplinary plans of care, considering psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors
Scrub and circulate for a wide variety of surgical procedures, including advanced cardiac and robotic cases
Foster collaborative relationships with patients, families, physicians, and the healthcare team
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with safety and infection control standards
Participate in orientation, ongoing education, and e‑learning modules as required
