Tax- Business Tax Services – Private Tax – Corporate Senior
EY Private Tax is a growing practice focused on serving privately held companies. Clients span from family‑owned businesses to private‑equity‑owned companies, ranging from start‑ups to multi‑billion‑dollar global private companies. You will work on high‑growth private companies and tackle both technically demanding tax planning and compliance projects.
Your Key Responsibilities
Preparing or reviewing federal and state tax returns for U.S. corporations and some partnerships, including foreign reporting requirements for cross‑border compliance.
Providing tax research, drafting research memoranda, and assisting with quantitative modeling for private client tax advisory services.
Identifying and communicating significant tax matters to Managers, Senior Managers, Managing Directors, and Partners.
Liaising and developing relationships with other service lines and subject‑matter professionals.
Building effective long‑term relationships with clients and tailoring services to their unique needs.
Communicating complex tax issues to non‑tax professionals and clients.
Maintaining reputation through continual technical knowledge sharing.
Identifying and acting on risks and opportunities to improve services and processes.
Skills And Attributes For Success
Bachelor’s degree in a related field, supported by tax, business, or financial planning experience.
Eligibility for the CPA certification or membership in The Bar.
Prior experience with ASC 740 tax provisions.
Excellent collaboration and negotiation skills, and the confidence to challenge colleagues and stakeholders from diverse backgrounds.
Minimum of 3 years of work experience in professional services or a professional tax organization.
A commitment to continual learning.
Proficiency with tax software such as RIA, CCH IntelliConnect, OneSource, BNA or Lexis Nexis.
Ability to work in a balanced hybrid environment and willingness to travel as needed.
