Hybrid Billing Specialist
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Billing Specialist to join our dynamic legal team. As a Billing Specialist, you will be responsible for handling all aspects of billing and invoicing for our clients. You will also ensure that all billing procedures are carried out accurately and efficiently. This is a full‑time permanent position with competitive salary and benefits.
Base pay range $85,000.00/yr - $100,000.00/yr

Responsibilities
Compile, review, verify accuracy of, and send monthly (e‑bills and paper) bills to clients, handling a high volume of bills each month.
Execute complex bills in a timely manner (including multiple discounts by matter, split‑party billing, alternative fee arrangements, etc.).
Enroll and manage accounts in the third‑party e‑billing systems (including coordination/communication with attorneys regarding short pays, invoice rejections, appeals, budget requirements, status updates, accruals, and other requested information).
Update billing rates/billing arrangements and create new billing formats/templates as needed.
Research and respond to billing inquiries, issues, or problems.
Create billing schedules and other billing analyses, as needed.
Follow firm billing policies and procedures (i.e., firm write‑off policies).
Work collaboratively with attorneys, staff, and clients to ensure timely and accurate billing.
Utilize 3E or Aderant and billing hub to manage billing processes.
Maintain strong Excel skills to track and analyze billing data.
Handle a high volume of bills each month.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
5+ years of experience in billing for a law firm.
Strong Excel skills.
Experience using 3E or Aderant and billing hub.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy of billing data.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle high volume of bills each month.
Experience with third‑party e‑billing systems.
Ability to execute complex bills in a timely manner.
Ability to research and respond to billing inquiries, issues, or problems.
Familiarity with firm billing policies and procedures.
Strong analytical skills and ability to create billing schedules and analyses.
