Job Summary We are seeking a highly analytical and detail‑oriented
Senior Associate, Performance Measurement & Attribution . The successful candidate will be responsible for measuring, reporting and interpreting the drivers of portfolio returns, with a focus on fixed‑income investments backed by real‑estate assets. This role requires strong quantitative skills, deep understanding of fixed‑income instruments, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for portfolio managers, risk teams, and senior leadership.
Performance Measurement & Attribution
Calculate and analyze portfolio returns using industry‑standard attribution methodologies (e.g., Brinson, duration‑based, spread analysis).
Identify and quantify sources of performance including yield curve positioning, credit spread changes, sector allocation, and security selection.
Data Management & Reporting
Maintain and validate performance data from internal and external sources.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and ad‑hoc performance attribution reports for internal stakeholders and clients.
Ensure data quality and integrity.
Portfolio Insights & Communication
Partner with portfolio management team to interpret attribution results and inform investment decisions.
Provide clear, concise explanations of performance drivers to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
Process Improvement & Automation
Enhance attribution models and reporting processes through automation and advanced analytics tools.
Collaborate with technology teams to implement system upgrades and improve workflow efficiency.
Qualifications Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or related field (Master’s or CFA designation preferred).
Experience:
3 to 5 years of experience in performance attribution, preferably within fixed‑income or real‑estate investment portfolios.
Strong understanding of fixed‑income, specifically real‑estate loans and securities (CMBS, RMBS, CMLs).
Skills:
Proficiency in performance attribution software (e.g., FactSet, Bloomberg PORT, Barra, Yield Book).
Advanced Excel skills; experience with Python, R, or SQL a plus.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills for presenting complex data to diverse audiences.

Ability to work under tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
