What To Expect We are seeking a highly skilled SCADA Controls Engineer to develop, maintain, and optimize SCADA systems used in managing paint shop production. The ideal candidate will be an expert in Ignition SCADA development, scripting, and database integration, ensuring high‑quality system performance, robust issue tracking, and efficient change management.

What You’ll Do

Develop and maintain high‑quality SCADA applications using Ignition Perspective, including designing views, creating types and tags, and integrating with databases and APIs

Write and optimize Python scripts and SQL queries to support automation, data tracking, and reporting

Ensure proper system change management, tracking all updates, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining detailed documentation

Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to SCADA systems, scripting, and database performance to minimize production impact

Work with cross‑functional teams to gather requirements, develop scalable solutions, and ensure seamless system integration

Implement data‑driven solutions using SQL databases, enabling efficient analysis and reporting

Conduct functional testing and system validation to ensure performance, reliability, and compliance with manufacturing standards

What You’ll Bring

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Mechatronics, or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience

3+ years of professional controls engineering experience

Experience working with Ignition SCADA v8+, especially with the Perspective design

Strong programming and scripting skills (Python, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript)

Understanding of databases such as MSSQL, MySQL or Oracle, with skill in writing efficient queries for complex requirements

Ability to design effective and intuitive SCADA graphics to enhance operator experience and awareness of the process and improve decision making, including experience in adopting HMI design best practices

Familiarity with PLC programming (Rockwell, Siemens, or equivalent) for integration purposes

Familiarity with web development such as HTML5, CSS, Javascript, React is a plus

Expected Compensation: $80,000 – $144,000 / annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits. Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package may include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided upon offer.
