Piper Companies is hiring a Data Center Engineer (TS/SCI Full Scope Polygraph) to support a secure data center environment in the RTP, NC area. The ideal candidate for the Data Center Engineer role will have strong experience in Linux and Windows systems engineering and network administration, supporting large enterprise environments. The Data Center Engineer (TS/SCI Full Scope Polygraph) role requires to work standard business hours in the SCIF Monday – Friday.
Responsibilities
Oversee, troubleshoot, and manage network activity for large enterprise customer data networks
Collaborate with engineering teams to support customer project requests
Provide high-level technical expertise for LAN and WAN environments
Recommend improvements to network and systems performance, efficiency, and security
Requirements
Active TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph
3+ years of systems and network administration/engineering experience
Strong experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
Knowledge of key networking technologies and protocols including EIGRP, BGP, SD-WAN, and MPLS
Experience with WAN, LAN, firewalls, and Cisco router/switch configuration
Proficiency in both Linux and Windows environments
Previous experience with VMware, including building and deploying virtual machines
Compensation
$125,000 – $200,000 annually
