Utilize technologies such as Python, SQL, Java, Scala, and various databases including both Open Source RDBMS and NoSQL options, alongside cloud data warehousing services like Redshift and Snowflake.
Stay ahead of tech trends and continuously learn new technologies, while mentoring fellow engineers and actively participating in tech communities.
Collaborate closely with digital product managers to deliver impactful cloud-based solutions that enhance the financial empowerment of millions of Americans.
Conduct rigorous unit testing and code reviews to ensure high-quality, performance-optimized, and maintainable code.
Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree
Minimum of 4 years of application development experience (excluding internship experience)
At least 2 years of experience in big data technologies
Over 1 year of experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)
Preferred Qualifications: 7+ years in application development with languages including Python, SQL, Scala, or Java
4+ years working with a public cloud (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)
4+ years of experience with distributed computing tools (MapReduce, Hadoop, Hive, EMR, Kafka, Spark, Gurobi, or MySQL)
4+ years focusing on real-time data and streaming applications
4+ years in NoSQL implementations (MongoDB, Cassandra)
4+ years experience with data warehousing solutions (Redshift or Snowflake)
4+ years of experience using UNIX/Linux, including shell scripting and basic commands
2+ years working within Agile engineering practices
This is a full-time role based in McLean, VA, with a salary range of $193,400 - $220,700, or in Plano, TX or Richmond, VA with a salary range of $175,800 - $200,700.
