The Core Data Platform organization owns all the infrastructure needed to run an operationally efficient analytical data stack. The Data Mobility Frameworks team builds a scalable and reliable compute framework layer that can process trillions of data points per day, enabling real‑time personalization and rapid experimentation. About The Role
As a member of the Data Mobility Frameworks team, you’ll solve the toughest engineering challenges, build essential abstractions over analytical engines, and enhance the developer experience within a high‑velocity environment. The position is located in San Francisco, Sunnyvale, or Seattle and is hybrid. Key Responsibilities
Drive vision & strategy for the frameworks charter and position it to handle the challenges of a rapidly growing business. Scale the analytical platform for increasing data volumes and use cases. Build and operate high‑scale systems focused on reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency. Collaborate with stakeholders building solutions on top of the platform. Foster a positive and supportive work culture, uplifting others. Qualifications
B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Computer Science or equivalent. 2+ years of industry experience. Prior experience in systems engineering building big‑data processing systems at scale using engines such as Apache Spark and Flink. Familiarity with datalakes and table formats such as Delta Lake and Apache Iceberg. Experience in a cloud‑based environment such as AWS. Professional experience with at least one of Java, Scala, Python, or Go; good knowledge of SQL. Location: willing to relocate to the Bay Area or Seattle. Compensation
The successful candidate’s starting pay falls within one of the following pay ranges, determined by job‑related factors and market conditions: Level I4: $130,600 – $192,000 USD Level I5: $159,800 – $235,000 USD Level I6: $193,800 – $285,000 USD Benefits
