Group Media Director Newark, NJ (Hybrid) Our client, a dynamic and innovative media agency that values creativity, collaboration, and results-driven thinking, is seeking an experienced Group Media Director to join their growing team in NYC. In this role you'll have the opportunity to work with a talented team of professionals, develop your skills and expertise, and drive business growth through effective media planning. The Group Director will lead strategy and planning as well as client relationships while overseeing a team of direct reports. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of digital media planning, a strong analytical mindset, and excellent communication skills. Responsibilities

Act as the primary point of contact for high-level client relationships, understanding and advocating for their needs while continuously pushing boundaries with innovative solutions.

Collaborate across teams, ensuring seamless integration of strategy and business objectives to deliver exceptional results.

Drive development of media plan recommendations that comprise both tactical and high impact/custom activations to meet clients’ goals

Lead and manage reporting analysis, inclusive of key insights/takeaways and optimization recommendations, based on campaign performance

Manage and nurture development of junior staff, guiding these individuals through the fundamentals of the planning process (inclusive of developing high level strategies, partner RFP/evaluation, negotiation, tactical plan development & execution, reporting & insights, optimization, billing, etc.)

Provide oversight on campaign performance reports and collaboratively share results across teams

Develop team member frameworks to ensure each are meeting milestones for continued growth while acting as a role model to the team

Contribute to new business efforts and thought leadership content

Collaboratively participate in Team Leadership Group meetings and work-sessions

Effectively manage projects and resources, to consistently meet internal and client timelines

Have the ability to dial in and orchestrate the details, while understanding big picture strategic needs

Requirements

10 + years of experience in media planning, from the agency side

Proven track record of managing client relationships and teams, as well as developing and executing successful media campaigns

Strong knowledge of all media channels, including Knowledge of 360 cross-functional media inclusive of Digital media (including Search, Social, Video, Content, Display), Print and TV/OTT, OOH, Audio

Ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions

Excellent communication and project management skills

Experience with media planning software and tools (e.g. comScore, Nielsen)
