Job Description
The Entry‑Level Process Engineer focuses on design and engineering of manufacturing facility and equipment, supporting facility infrastructure and critical utility systems. Typical tasks include execution of engineering calculations such as heat transfer and pressure drop calculations. The Engineer is responsible for supporting documentation of the process design scope in coordination with other disciplines and may support field installation teams and site observations. This role works closely with architects, engineers, designers, and teams to ensure a coordinated, constructible, and complete design.

Supports the documentation of the process design scope in coordination with other disciplines.
Works closely with other architects, engineers, and designers, as well as other internal and external team members to ensure a coordinated, constructible and complete design.
Self‑checks own work but communicates often with peers and supervisors.
Able to work on one or more projects concurrently and manage time effectively.
Solves complex problems under the direction and supervision of a mentor or supervisor.
Project work may include all levels of design such as studies, conceptual and schematic design, design development, construction documentation and construction administration.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Bioprocess Engineering from an ABET‑accredited program.
0–3 years of experience in a design firm or related engineering environment.
Registration for or successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam preferred.
Willingness to relocate to one of our office locations: Massachusetts (MA), Pennsylvania (PA), Orange County (OC), San Diego (SD), or St. Louis (STL).
Preferred Qualifications
Fundamental experience with performing engineering calculations, developing and implementing discipline system designs.
Fundamental experience with chemistry/biochemistry.
Fundamental experience with process modeling, material and energy balances, and basic sizing calculations.
Fundamental experience with fluid mechanics, hydraulic modeling, and fundamental heat transfer.
Strong communication skills and ability to participate in internal cross‑discipline project team coordination.
Proficient at fundamental discipline design calculations under the supervision of an engineer.
Proficiency in AutoCAD.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite required.
Proficiency in engineering software applications including computer‑aided drafting, process modeling and calculation programs.
