As an Infrastructure Engineer at DigitalOcean, you will join a dynamic team dedicated to revolutionizing cloud computing. You’ll be joining a team of highly productive engineers who run and support the GPU Bare Metal service across multiple regions. This role reports directly to the Sr Manager of GPU Compute within the IaaS organization.
What You’ll Do
Contribute to the Bare Metal GPU product by providing security and operational best practices to infrastructure servers across multiple regions.
Help maintain critical shared services such as PXE provisioning, observability and data syncing.
Engage in support escalations when necessary.
Capture trends and lead internal projects to improve the overall product experience.
Engage in projects that streamline lifecycle automation of bare metal GPU infrastructure on Nvidia platforms.
What You'll Add to DigitalOcean
Linux systems experience including low level troubleshooting, developing and applying configuration management, security best practices and monitoring/alerting.
Strong automation mindset.
Knowledge in 1 or more orchestration tools such as Salt, Chef, Ansible or Puppet.
Excellent communication skills.
Regular meetings with peer teams to ensure their needs are met.
Passion for spreading knowledge through documentation.
Bonus skills: hands‑on HPC clustered environments from Nvidia or AMD; automated wide‑scale testing on NCCL or other frameworks; MaaS or equivalent bare metal provisioning platforms; network engineering experience with VyOS platforms.
