A dynamic and growing $100 million apparel and garment manufacturer with a strong presence in both domestic and international markets. The company partners with leading retailers and e-commerce brands to design, produce, and distribute high-quality fashion and lifestyle products. Position Summary
The Corporate Controller (VP level) will be responsible for overseeing all accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal controls for the organization. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring financial accuracy, operational efficiency, and compliance while supporting strategic business initiatives. The ideal candidate brings deep accounting expertise, strong leadership, and experience within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities
Lead all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and cost accounting. Manage month-end and year-end closings; prepare consolidated financial statements and internal management reports. Ensure compliance with GAAP and all relevant regulatory requirements. Partner with the CFO on budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management. Oversee annual audits and coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and financial institutions. Strengthen internal controls and identify opportunities for process and system improvements. Develop, mentor, and manage accounting team members. Collaborate with operations, production, and supply chain teams to ensure accurate product costing and margin reporting. Lead financial system optimization efforts and implement tools to improve reporting and analysis. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 8-12 years of progressive accounting or finance experience, including at least 3 years in a Controller or Assistant Controller role. Experience in manufacturing, ideally in apparel or consumer goods. Strong understanding of cost accounting, inventory control, and financial reporting. Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics) and advanced Excel skills. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Proven ability to operate in a hands-on, fast-paced environment. Seniority level
