Role Overview We are looking for a dedicated, personable accountant who is hands‑on and passionate about helping nonprofits. The role is hybrid, with both on‑site and remote work options, and offers promotion potential to a controller level position. Working part‑time, you will receive many of the same benefits and professional development opportunities as full‑time colleagues.
Responsibilities
Weekly and monthly processing of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll
Bank account and balance sheet reconciliations
Monthly financials and related analysis
Grant tracking and monitoring
Cash flow projections and monitoring
Preparation for outside audits
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required)
Minimum 3 years of public accounting and/or industry experience; 5+ years preferred
Outstanding communication skills and a positive attitude
Knowledge of, or interest in learning, multiple accounting software packages; QuickBooks experience is a plus
Intermediate Excel skills
Willingness to travel to client offices as needed
Nonprofit experience preferred
Part‑time employees are expected to work during normal business hours to best serve our clients
Benefits & Compensation Starting hourly rate is
$30 to $45 per hour . Full compensation may increase with overtime, bonuses, and professional development reimbursements. Benefits include:
