Overview The Cardiac and Vascular Institute (TCAVI) in Gainesville, Florida is seeking a Chief Executive Officer for our 200+ employee cardiology practice. TCAVI is part of Cardiovascular Services of America (CVAUSA), the largest private and independent cardiology network in the United States. CVAUSA’s network spans 28 distinct practices across 8 states and serves more than 750,000 unique patients annually.
Responsibilities
Hands‑on, service driven, high energy executive partnering with cardiologists.
Manage a practice with approximately 24 board‑certified cardiologists and 7 advanced practice providers.
Oversee services in Adult Cardiology, Heart Failure, Arrhythmia, Adult Congenital Heart Disease, Interventional Cardiology, Vein Conditions, Peripheral Vascular Disease, Cardio Oncology, Electrophysiology, and Diagnostic Imaging.
Develop and oversee all aspects of the practice, supported by operations leaders and clinicians.
Report directly to shareholder physicians and collaborate with CVAUSA for strategic direction.
Qualifications
Master’s degree in Health Administration, Master of Business Administration with a health‑care concentration, or equivalent.
Five to ten years of progressive management experience in cardiology.
American College of Medical Practice Executive (CMPE) certification is a plus.
Demonstrated ability to integrate and understand organizational culture, focusing on employee engagement, patient satisfaction, and quality of care.
Experience with health‑care regulations, compliance, financial acumen, revenue cycle, and operational/process improvements.
Strategic skill for market analysis, competitive forces, growth opportunities including mergers, acquisitions, and real‑estate expansion.
IT integration expertise including analytics, EHR management, research initiatives, Cath Lab/ASC operations, and advanced Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
Certification in Practice Management (CPM) or related credentials.
