We are growing our Commercial Growth Sales Team to help our customers be more productive while still providing all the capabilities needed to meet the most complex requirements at any scale. We are looking for a leader to build and develop an all‑star team of Commercial Growth sales professionals. We spend significant time on AE and leader enablement and invest in attracting, hiring, and developing top talent to ensure long‑term success on individual career paths.

About the Role As the Regional Director, you will drive revenue and ensure the continued successful trajectory of the territory while also focusing on recruitment, enablement, and execution for the Commercial Growth Sales Team. What is Commercial Growth Sales The Commercial Growth Team’s mission is to drive broader revenue expansion by prioritizing accounts with high potential for multi‑workload adoption, proactively retaining top accounts with strong growth trajectories, and accelerating new workload contributions through strategic use case expansion. We combine traditional top‑down (Sales‑Led Growth) strategies with bottom‑up (Product‑Led Growth) tactics, enhancing conversion and maximizing customer value at every stage. By gathering product signals paired with accurate firmographic data, we can engage the right accounts at the optimal time with targeted outreach.
What You’ll Be Doing
Attract, hire, and retain high‑achieving Account Executives via all channels available (internal, external, self‑sourcing)
Drive a high‑performance, high‑accountability culture to achieve and exceed sales goals
Have an in‑depth and detailed understanding of MongoDB products to confidently provide mentorship for your sales team
Enable, develop, and empower your team to proactively prospect, identify, qualify, and build sales pipeline
Coach the team to close business and navigate complex negotiations and organizations
Evangelize our validated sales methodology MEDDIC and drive adoption and expertise within your team
Onboard and ramp new Account Executives and accelerate their productive capacity
Foster strong and effective relationships, resulting in growth opportunities
Run weekly forecast meetings
Scale, strategically plan, and develop sales territories
What You Will Bring to the Table
A minimum of 1 year of experience leading a sales team in a commercial segment (SMB / Mid Market)
A true passion for sales & technology – we want leaders who love what they do and inspire their team
Experience recruiting and managing a highly successful and talented direct software sales team while driving them toward success
5+ years of quota‑carrying field experience in a fast‑paced and competitive market with a focus on acquisition or growth
A proven track record of overachievement and hitting sales targets
Ability to articulate the business value of complex enterprise technology
Skilled in building business champions
Driven and competitive – possess a strong desire to be successful
Must live in territory (Austin, TX)

Compensation MongoDB’s base salary range for this role in the U.S. is: $115,000—$115,000 USD.
