We are seeking an entry‑level Transportation Engineer eager to start their career working on a variety of roadway and infrastructure projects. This role offers the opportunity to apply engineering fundamentals, learn from experienced mentors, and contribute to meaningful projects that improve mobility, safety, and community connectivity.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze current and projected traffic conditions to identify areas of improvement and plan effective solutions.

Conduct detailed studies to assess the impact of proposed developments on traffic patterns.

Design and draft highway alignment layouts.

Measure and analyze vehicular speeds to evaluate roadway safety and functionality.

Design roadways that accommodate all users, including pedestrians, cyclists, motorists, and transit riders.

Prepare and submit applications for highway permits in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

Develop and analyze transportation models for corridors to evaluate capacity, traffic flow, and potential improvements.

Prepare detailed cost estimates for transportation and highway construction projects.

Collaborate with the team to support services for large, multi‑disciplinary civil/site projects.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.

EIT registration preferred.

Intermediate skills in AutoCAD, MicroStation, and Synchro preferred.

Experience with construction and/or land surveying is a plus.

Experience with MassDOT.
