Are you passionate about helping businesses revolutionize their cloud journey through container technology? Join AWS's Worldwide Specialist Organization (WWSO) as a Specialist Solutions Architect. You will act as a trusted advisor to partners—both Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) and Systems Integrators (SIs)—and help them drive success. You will shape our services including Amazon Elastic Container Service, Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service, AWS Fargate, and Amazon Elastic Container Registry, representing the voice of the customer and working with product teams to evolve AWS services. You will also collaborate directly with the most innovative, forward‑thinking customers—leaders in their respective fields—to understand their requirements and turn them into reality. You will drive architectural best practices, building and operating advanced, scalable, reliable, and secure workloads, and enable the wider community to adopt the AWS portfolio, serving as a strategic technical leader to promote and accelerate partner engagements worldwide.
Key responsibilities
Work with AWS Partners to define the container components of best‑in‑class go‑to‑market (GTM) concepts, solutions, and initiatives.
Design, implement, and deploy advanced containerized solutions architectures.
Use data and customer anecdotes to provide feedback to product teams, influencing feature development and future product roadmaps.
Provide advanced technical knowledge through container‑aligned GTM teams to unblock our customers’ largest and most critical business challenges.
Steward the deployment and operations of workloads on AWS using Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (Amazon EKS), Amazon Elastic Container Service (ECS), AWS Fargate, Kubernetes, or other container services.
About the team This position is part of the AWS Specialist and Partner Organization (ASP). Specialists own the end‑to‑end go‑to‑market strategy for their respective technology domains, providing business and technical expertise to help our customers succeed. Partner teams own the strategy, recruiting, development, and growth of our key technology and consulting partners. Together they provide our customers with the expertise and scale needed to build innovative solutions for their most complex challenges.

Basic Qualifications
5+ years of experience in a technology domain such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, or data & analytics.
Knowledge of software development tools and methodologies.
Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud.
Recent experience working with cloud‑native and containerized workloads.
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture, and networking experience.
Experience working with end‑user or developer communities.
Experience presenting and speaking with executives, IT managers, and developers.
Experience in a technical role within a sales organization.
MBA, Computer Science, or Engineering/Math background; strong knowledge of software development practices and data center/infrastructure/networking technologies.
Professional experience working with ISV or SI AWS partners.

Compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $138,200 per year in our lowest geographic market up to $239,000 per year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign‑on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits.
