Position Summary: The Deposit Operations Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing all deposit and payment operations, including ACH, Wire Transfers, FedNow, RTP, Check Processing, and related fraud monitoring functions. This role ensures that all transactions are processed accurately, securely, and in compliance with regulatory standards while delivering an exceptional member experience. The manager will act as a key liaison between members, staff, cross-functional departments, and external vendors to strengthen BayPort’s payments ecosystem and drive operational excellence. Responsibilities Include: Manage end-to-end processing of ACH, Wire Transfers, FedNow, and RTP payments, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with NACHA, Fed, and internal policies. Oversee daily deposit functions, including check clearing, stop payments, CD/IRA maintenance, and exception handling. Partner with Information Technology and vendors to ensure system stability, upgrades, and new feature rollouts. Ensure staff and member service channels deliver seamless deposit and payment support. Oversee error resolution and Regulation E claims handling. Drive a member-first culture, balancing efficiency with personalized solutions. Facilitate member education on digital payment options (Zelle, FedNow, ACH origination) and safe payment practices. Maintain compliance with NACHA, BSA/AML, OFAC, and NCUA guidelines. Develop and maintain department policies, SOPs, and disaster recovery plans. Collaborate with Retail/Branch Operations, Digital Banking, Contact Center, Finance, IT, and Compliance to ensure end-to-end member experience across all payment and deposit channels. Partner with Fraud & Risk teams to monitor trends, mitigate fraud losses, and enhance detection tools. Manage relationships with core banking, payments, and fraud monitoring vendors to include vendor performance, issue escalation and service reviews. Supervise, coach, and mentor staff across deposit operations, wires, ACH, and fraud monitoring. Support implementation of new payment platforms and modernization projects (e.g., Unified Payments Platform, FedNow rollout, Zelle enhancements). Identify and implement process automation opportunities to increase efficiency and reduce errors. Track KPIs (e.g., transaction volumes, exception rates, fraud loss ratios, member satisfaction) and report to senior leadership. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Required Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Engineering, Business, or related field (or equivalent work experience). Required Experience:

8-10 years’ experience in deposit operations, payments, or treasury management with at least 2 years in a leadership role. Required Knowledge: Accredited ACH Professional (AAP) certification or ability to earn AAP certification within 18 months of hire. Working knowledge of Federal, State and credit union regulations, policies, and procedures to adhere to compliance standards. In-depth knowledge of ACH, Wire, RTP, FedNow, Zelle, and check processing. Working knowledge and understanding of fraud detection, BSA/AML, and payment risk management. Exhibits organizational skills required to meet deadlines with a strong attention to detail. Ability to work in an environment that changes rapidly to fit department and company needs. Ability of leading a team, with other CU departments and external service providers on special projects related to the department. Ability to research, resolve, and troubleshoot issues.
