Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual for a
Full-Time Custodial Position . The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness, safety, and order throughout our facilities, ensuring a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities
Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming.
Maintain floors through buffing, waxing, and polishing to ensure they are clean and presentable.
Conduct thorough cleaning of restrooms, break rooms, and common areas to uphold hygiene standards.
Assist with basic maintenance tasks as needed, including minor repairs and equipment upkeep.
Manage waste disposal and recycling efforts to promote an environmentally friendly workplace.
Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are properly maintained and stored.
Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to the appropriate personnel.
Perform seasonal groundskeeping duties including mowing, trimming, and snow removal.
Perform all other duties as assigned to support the overall operation and cleanliness of the facility.
Requirements
Previous custodial or janitorial experience preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
Familiarity with floor care techniques (buffing, waxing, stripping) is desirable; training will be provided.
Basic knowledge of facilities maintenance practices is beneficial.
Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
Excellent time management skills and ability to complete daily responsibilities within allotted time with limited supervision.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
Must successfully complete the following upon hire:

PA State Police Criminal History Report
PA Child Abuse History Certification
Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure Release
