Logan Property Management is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented
Senior Accountant / Property Accountant
to join our growing corporate accounting team. This role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys managing full-cycle accounting functions for multiple residential and commercial properties.
The ideal candidate will bring
5–7 years of accounting experience
(preferably in property management or real estate), a strong understanding of
monthly closing processes
, and the ability to communicate effectively across departments. A
CPA license or candidacy
is a strong plus.
Responsibilities
Perform
full-cycle accounting
for assigned properties, including journal entries, accruals, and general ledger maintenance.
Prepare, review, and analyze
monthly financial statements
for accuracy and timeliness.
Complete
bank reconciliations, balance sheet account reconciliations, and intercompany transactions.
Manage and monitor
accounts payable and receivable
activity for assigned properties.
Support
budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
with property and regional teams.
Partner closely with
property managers, regional directors, and corporate leadership
to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
Assist with
year-end audits and tax preparation , providing required schedules and documentation.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance reporting accuracy and operational efficiency.
Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required).
5–7 years of accounting experience , preferably within
property management, real estate, or multi-entity environments.
Strong knowledge of
GAAP
and monthly closing processes.
CPA license or active CPA candidacy
strongly preferred.
Proficiency with accounting platforms such as
QuickBooks, RealPage, OneSite, Entrata, or Yardi
(preferred).
Advanced Excel and data analysis skills.
Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication abilities.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines with accuracy and professionalism.
Salary:
$85,000 - $105,000 a year
