Merz Therapeutics is looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to support the North America business by ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with industry regulations, and supporting strategic financial planning within the pharmaceutical sector. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment and have a passion for learning and professional growth. Key Responsibilities

1. Month-End Close & Financial Reporting Lead general ledger activities and ensure accurate month-end and year-end close processes Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with IFRS Ensure timely submission of corporate reporting packages Reconcile consolidated data to SAP transactional data (balance sheet, income statement, supplemental reporting) 2. Financial Analysis & Internal Controls Perform monthly and quarterly account reconciliations Analyze aged items for proper classification Submit preliminary weekly sales reports Resolve errors in consolidated reporting Administer FloQast reconciliation tool and train new users Maintain and enhance internal controls across accounting processes 3. Cash Monitoring Review and post daily cash transactions and EBS statements Reconcile daily cash postings to the general ledger Perform monthly bank reconciliations for key accounts 4. Audit Support Prepare recurring and ad hoc audit schedules Provide supporting documentation and explanations Manage sample requests and roll-forward schedules Lead year-end audit and close activities 5. Special Projects & Technical Accounting Support implementation of new accounting tools and systems Collaborate cross-functionally to drive process improvements Assist with technical accounting research and policy adherence (IFRS) Provide backup support for critical accounting functions 6. Process Improvement & Automation Lead initiatives to automate and streamline accounting processes Support ERP and SAP system implementations Contribute to AI tool integration for financial reporting 7. Intercompany Reporting Manage intercompany transactions, including cross-charges, invoices, and reconciliations Don’t meet every single requirement?
