Responsibilities and Duties

  • Conduct physical examinations and develop treatment plans
  • Monitor and document patient health, including vital signs and medical histories
  • Administer medications and provide instructions to patients
  • Deliver direct patient care, triage, assess patient needs, and coordinate services
  • Educate patients on preventive care, healthy lifestyle choices, and substance abuse prevention
  • Adhere to correctional facility security protocols and collaborate with correctional officers and healthcare professionals
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of treatment plans
  • Conduct rounds and evaluate patients returning from off-site treatment
  • Admit and discharge patients from the facility


Additional Information

  • Must have an active Oregon Nurse Practitioner license
  • DEA required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • American Association of Nurse Practitioners (ANNP) board certification required
  • Corrections experience preferred but not required
