Responsibilities and Duties
- Conduct physical examinations, develop treatment plans, and monitor patients
- Administer medications and provide instructions to patients
- Monitor and document patient health, including vital signs and medical histories
- Provide direct patient care, triage, assess patient needs, develop care plans, and coordinate services
- Educate patients on preventive care, healthy lifestyle choices, and substance abuse prevention
- Adhere to correctional facility security protocols and collaborate with correctional officers and healthcare professionals
- Maintain accurate medical records, document treatment plans, and report relevant information
- Conduct rounds and evaluate patients returning from off-site treatment
- Admit and discharge patients from the facility
Additional Information
- Must be licensed as a Nurse Practitioner in Oregon
- Required certifications: DEA, Basic Life Support (BLS), and American Association of Nurse Practitioners (ANNP)
- Corrections experience preferred but not required
