Loan Closer | Syndicated Loans | Buy Side
Seeking an experienced Loan Closer to join the Syndicated Loan Operations team on the buy side. The Syndicated Bank Loan Closer is responsible for managing the end-to-end settlement process of both primary and secondary syndicated loan trades. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring the timely and accurate closing of trades, maintaining compliance with market standards, and supporting the firm’s investment and operational objectives.
The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver with deep knowledge of LSTA | LMA documentation, syndicated loan workflows, and settlement platforms.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or a related field required.
3–5 years of experience in syndicated loan operations or trade settlement, ideally within a buy-side or sell-side institution.
Strong familiarity with LSTA | LMA standards and syndicated loan lifecycle events.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with syndicated loan settlement platforms such as ClearPar, WSO, Loan IQ, or similar systems.
Working knowledge of trade lifecycle management and reconciliation processes.
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
