Job Description This is a professional Select Exempt Service position located in the Division of Early Learning (DEL) in the Director’s office. The incumbent assists the Chancellor of Early Learning in a confidential capacity by performing duties related to personnel actions and processes.

Duties & Responsibilities

Serve as the DEL HR Personnel Liaison to ensure that all division staff are kept current on human resource initiatives and policy/procedure changes.

Advise managers on recruitment, hiring, separations, leave, attendance, position descriptions, fingerprinting, advertising, and classification.

Prepare personnel packets for new hires, separations, performance evaluations, and coordinate position description updates with HR Central.

Maintain position descriptions, organizational charts, and coordinate with the Human Resources office of FDOE.

Consult with staff members to develop solutions for programmatic operational problems.

Track requisitions/PARs for approval/rejection and ensure compliance with applicable rules and policies.

Prepare requests for restructuring/reorganization and update tables of organization as needed.

Provide technical assistance on classification procedures and policies.

Coordinate with HR specialists on FMLA, FSWP, ADA, training, drop, leave, and attendance issues.

Review and analyze drafts of memoranda and correspondence.

Prepare and maintain records and reports, including recruitment applications and administrative problem solutions.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Strong communication skills and ability to interact courteously with others.

Attendance is an essential function.

Background check and level‑2 screening required.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working within the People First system.

Knowledge of organizational structure and classification actions, including prior personnel liaison responsibilities.
