Job Summary Under the direction of the Senior Manager, the Patient Financial Services Representative – Cash Application is responsible for ensuring payments are posted daily and accurately to hospital and pharmacy cases. In addition the position requires daily balancing and auditing of all applications. The representative is expected to be familiar with Hospital, Pharmacy and departmental policies and procedures and able to utilize all resources available to accomplish the assigned job duties. This position will also provide quality customer service to help ensure that UKHC collects sufficient cash necessary to support Healthcare operations, and participate in unit and Enterprise activities to improve efficiency, quality, safety, and patient satisfaction.
This is a fully remote position.

Customer service oriented
In-depth HIPAA knowledge
Ability to multi-task with a strong emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail
Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Solid time management, critical thinking, follow-through, and planning and organizational skills
High level of respect for confidentiality

Preferred Education/Experience
Associate degree
Third party insurance claims follow-up/collections experience
Medical, office and/or clerical work preferred
Previous experience working with patient accounts/ HIPAA highly preferred
