Position: Aerospace North America SPS – Quality Manager (Aerospace BU)
Location: Muskegon, MI
Salary Range: $111,000 – $132,000
Reports to: Aerospace SPS Manager

Responsibilities
Interact with North American Aerospace factories to support Lean and Quality improvements and support factory evaluation.
Support improvement activities directly within the factories.
Collaborate with factories to implement the SKF Lean (SPS) system and support digitisation initiatives.
Manage continuous improvement projects using Lean Six Sigma to streamline processes, reduce waste and enhance operational efficiency.
Monitor factories’ Lean Deployment Plans, track progress and identify areas for improvement.
Drive a culture of continuous improvement across SKF Aero USA factories.
Coach and support lean tool training, conduct maturity assessments, and develop plans to address identified gaps.
Facilitate best practice sharing between factories.
Qualify: Analyse customer complaints using 8D, implement Zero Defect Plans, apply Right‑First‑Time (SLR reduction) techniques, improve training and quality competence.
Conduct QMS internal audits and follow up on the effectiveness of improvement activities related to Quality KPIs.
Manage cross‑functional quality projects.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
Minimum five years of Quality Assurance experience, including managerial responsibilities.
Strong Lean methodology experience (direct experience strongly preferred).
Team‑management experience.
High analytical ability and proven problem‑solving skills (8D, 5Y, Ishikawa, A3, etc.).
Self‑starter who can interact effectively at all organisational levels.
Data‑analysis and risk‑analysis skills (DFMEA, PFMEA).
Leadership experience coaching and developing key quality employees.
Desire to promote and influence change through leading by example.
Speed and results‑driven mindset.
Availability to travel frequently (20–40%).
Preferred Requirements
AS9100 knowledge.
Certified auditor (SKF or AS9100 approved).
Six Sigma black or green belt.
