About the Role We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Mortgage Loan Officer to join our growing team in South Carolina. In this role, you’ll guide clients through the mortgage lending process—from application to closing—helping them secure the financing they need to achieve homeownership.
The ideal candidate is customer‑focused, detail‑oriented, and driven to meet goals while maintaining a high standard of integrity and compliance.
Responsibilities
Originate and manage residential mortgage loans in compliance with state and federal regulations.
Build and maintain relationships with borrowers, real estate agents, builders, and other referral partners.
Assess client financial profiles to recommend suitable loan products and solutions.
Collect, review, and submit all required documentation for underwriting and processing.
Stay up to date on mortgage products, lending guidelines, and market trends.
Manage loan pipelines to ensure timely communication and closings.
Deliver an exceptional client experience through transparent communication and personalized service.
Required Qualifications
Active NMLS license and eligibility to originate loans in South Carolina.
Minimum 2 years of experience in mortgage lending, banking, or financial services.
Proven record of meeting or exceeding production goals.
Strong knowledge of conventional, FHA, VA, and USDA loan products.
Excellent communication, customer service, and relationship‑building skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related field.
Experience with mortgage origination software (e.g., Encompass).
Competitive commission‑based compensation.
Marketing and lead generation support.
