Job Description Summary
Responsible to develop and maintain integrated project schedules for a large portfolio of projects to support project reporting and on time delivery analysis. The schedules must comply with customer requirements and adhere to internal processes and standards.
In addition, the Project Controller (PC) is responsible for analyzing project risk, developing mitigation plans, and supporting claim development/resolution. The PC also performs an overall project performance analysis report, including risks and opportunities, to provide a complete project view.
Project Controller Responsibilities
ITO – OTR handover: Receive L1 bid schedule and contract details.
Understand and confirm ITO assumptions; risk summary is clearly understood and provided during ITO/OTR handoff.
Attend CKOM and follow up on open action items related to schedule execution.
Attend release meetings led by ITO to understand project scope, ITO assumptions, and contribute to delivery matrix development.
Drive the development of the Commitment Meeting file based on functional inputs, project requirements, and contract requirements.
Lead Commitment Meetings with functional owners to resolve initial schedule disconnects and reach agreement on the project baseline.
Set up project schedule in alignment with Global Planning processes.
L3 Baseline Schedule / KPIs Development
Use the available standard schedule template based on scope of project.
Set up L3 baseline schedule by using process flow guidelines within the company.
Develop baseline progress "S" curves based on allocated weightage.
Participate in constructability review to align project schedule with baseline schedule.
Maintain project master time schedule based on inputs provided by each task owner.
Lead and drive the partner and site scheduling team members (chair meetings, drive actions, hold accountability).
Update internal and external progress reports, float reports, and say/do ratio.
Perform monthly schedule analysis to identify critical impacts and provide mitigation suggestions.
Organize monthly schedule deep dives providing guidance and insights to project and senior management.
Ensure KPIs are published on time on company reporting platforms.
Perform critical path analysis for deliverables to ensure no impact on contract dates.
Perform delay analysis to support extension of time and cost claims.
Revise and reissue baseline schedule due to variation orders affecting contract dates or scope.
Conduct resources analysis based on planned vs actuals, highlight risk, and communicate to project director and team.
Work with project team to identify mitigation strategies and incorporate them into the schedule.
Escalate critical project issues to the internal project manager and project team.
Provide accurate status reports for other functions and customers.
Communicate impacts of execution strategy changes to functions.
Act as a resource for project team members with data, analysis, and root causes of schedule variances.
Propose different solutions to complex project scenarios.
Prepare project close‑out report, including lessons learned, to be completed two weeks before departure from team.
Participate in weekly IPM meetings to review cross‑functional risks impacting time or cost and support IPM with mitigation actions.
Identify and support risk reserve assessments and provide inputs related to schedule and cost.
Conduct monthly impact assessment with scheduling of partner/customer driven delays; highlight GE‑driven delays that can be avoided.
Investigate schedule impact of proposed change orders and support claim documentation.
Coordinate claim proposal cost estimates with IPM/project engineering.
Manage the administration of planning tools and support continuous improvement of equipment planning processes and KPIs.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma).
10 years’ experience in Project Control Planning & Scheduling within an EPC environment, including execution of several projects with significant site exposure.
Desired Characteristics
Expertise in power plant principles and EPC work processes.
Expertise in Primavera P6.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to lead large complex project team reviews.
Resilient and able to work under pressure.
Fluency in written and spoken English.
Experience working with international teams and in complex environments.
5 years’ experience in Extent of Time claims / forensic planning.
Prepared Primavera P6 loaded schedules.
Expertise in Earned Value Management.
Expertise in Risk Analysis (tools such as Acumen Fuse).
Engineering and Sourcing expertise.
Project Control experience.

Pay Transparency For U.S. based candidates only, the base pay range for this position is $114,100.00 – $152,200.00 USD annually. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for a 15% annual performance incentive.
