About The Role
Position Summary:
The HR Generalist is a hands‑on role responsible for the daily execution and administration of Human Resources programs and services. This includes managing key functional areas such as benefits administration, recruitment, employee relations, and performance support. This role is critical in ensuring smooth employment processes, maintaining regulatory compliance, and supporting a positive, productive work environment where employees can thrive.
Primary Focus:
Providing full‑scope HR support to employees and managers, ensuring compliance with company policies, and efficiently administering core HR processes and programs for a growing organization of 55 employees.
What You’ll Do HR Administration, Benefits, and Compliance
Administer employee benefits programs (e.g., health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies) with support from our 3rd party benefits agency, and HR business partner at ADP.
Payroll processing through submission of relevant employee data.
Reconcile insurance invoices monthly.
Ensure full compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
Assist with the conversion of HRIS system from Rippling to ADP Workforce Now.
Manage and maintain accurate employee records and confidential HR information within the ADP Workforce Now.
Process employment paperwork, including new hire, status change, and termination documentation.
Employee Relations & Performance Support
Serve as a trusted, accessible resource for employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and general employment matters.
Support managers in addressing basic performance issues, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions, ensuring fair and consistent application of company policies.
Assist with the administration of the performance management cycle, including distributing materials for performance reviews and tracking goal setting.
Help maintain and update accurate job descriptions in collaboration with department managers.
Recruitment and Onboarding
Manage the full recruitment lifecycle for non‑exempt and entry‑level roles, including job posting, candidate tracking, scheduling interviews, and pre‑employment checks.
Collaborate with hiring managers to define role requirements and ensure a smooth candidate experience.
Lead the full onboarding process for new hires, including conducting orientation, processing new hire paperwork, and ensuring a seamless transition into the company.
Coordinate and provide tours to educational groups and/or job shadows.
Employee Engagement
Execute and support initiatives to foster a positive and inclusive company culture.
Assist in coordinating employee events, recognition programs, and team‑building activities to improve workplace satisfaction.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
3+ years of experience in an HR Generalist or HR Specialist role.
Ability to effectively communicate and to utilize resources (Third party benefits agency, HR business partner, 401(k) Advisor) to successfully perform job functions.
Experience working with ADP Workforce Now.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity.
