Research Associate II – TGen, part of City of Hope.
Location:
Phoenix, AZ, USA.
TGen is a translational genomics research institute within City of Hope, focused on advancing precision medicine by deciphering the genome to inform cancer and other disease treatments. We provide cutting‑edge sequencing services and collaborate with clinicians and partners to develop innovative therapies. At TGen, you’ll contribute to a team that drives scientific breakthroughs and improves patient outcomes.
TGen’s Collaborative Sequencing Center (CSC) is dedicated to next‑generation sequencing for internal and external investigators, supporting translational research across the health system.
Responsibilities
Generate sequencing data for research and experimental purposes following established protocols.
Develop and optimize assays for sequencing applications, and perform detailed documentation.
Plan, execute, and conduct QC analysis of studies and communicate findings with other groups involved.
Provide training to colleagues on sequencing workflows.
Perform troubleshooting and maintenance on laboratory equipment.
Collaborate with lab director, manager, CSC staff, informatics and instrument service teams.
Perform general laboratory duties.
Review relevant literature related to projects as needed.
Assist in safety and equipment training, protocol development, data analysis, and presentations.
Participate in lab meetings, updating progress, results, and future goals.
Train TGen staff on proper usage of shared resources.
