Operations Manager – Service/Repair (Phoenix)
Join TK Elevator as a skilled Operations Manager responsible for managing all service and repair operations in Phoenix, AZ. This role oversees a team of service technicians, ensures safety, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise superintendents and employees, providing direction, training, hiring, performance management, and progressive discipline.
Administer company safety program, conduct weekly safety audits, and promote a safety culture.
Visit job sites, perform quality audits, and spend at least four hours daily in the field working with technicians and customers.
Analyze accounting reports and route management data to improve profitability.
Provide technical input to sales staff for bids, calculating labor and material costs.
Monitor the 30‑day callback program, aiming to keep cancellations under 3 %.
Collaborate with Branch Manager and Sales Managers to address customer needs and communicate with customers who have downtime.
Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of federal, state, and local elevator code requirements.
Stay current on company products through training, factory updates, and regional field trainer input.
Administer parts program for contract service and repair to meet budget and customer satisfaction goals.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent combination of education and experience); or 2 years managing a branch-level department.
Valid driver’s license and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report.
Thorough knowledge of the elevator industry and general management practices.
Strong analytical skills: define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw conclusions.
Ability to interpret technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and handle complex variables.
