This position is responsible for driving the success of the area service and repair operations by efficient, cost‑effective and profitable execution of projects. The director will manage operations to ensure budget profits are exceeded, develop best‑practice processes, and emphasize continuous improvement and growth.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Drive and support a culture of safety throughout the organization, including participation in safety training and performing safety audits.
Drive the success of area service/repair processes from booking to turnover, coordinating with the AVP and branch management teams to drive initiatives.
Review P&L and other financial reports to monitor branch performance within the area, ensure monthly budgetary goals are met or exceeded, and approve operation plans and budgets submitted by direct reports.
Plan, direct, and prioritize elevator service/repair with area manpower needs; supervise project managers and use project‑management software and scheduling tools.
Visit job sites to survey and advise on job progress, troubleshoot problems, perform quality audits, and meet with contractors to review progress.
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with customers.
Implement and oversee strategic fade initiatives and review bids of large or complex service/repair jobs to ensure profitability.
Approve change orders, purchase orders, elevator turnover authorizations, accounts receivable, write‑offs, credits and other necessary approvals.
Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of company products, industry code requirements, and TK Elevator’s mission, objectives, ethical standards and code of conduct.
Prioritize and support all U.S. Field Operations and area initiatives, participate in branch coordination meetings, and liaise with corporate departments.
Provide direct oversight or project responsibilities on special tasks or projects as needed.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree required; an IUEC (full mechanic) qualification may be considered in lieu of a degree.
10+ years in upper‑level management in the elevator or related industries (preferred).
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and manage multiple abstract and concrete variables.
Possession of a valid driver’s license and a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report.
What We Offer Salary range: $200,000–$254,000 yearly with an additional incentive annual compensation of 0%–100%. The role offers a car allowance and fuel card.
