Position: Adjunct/Part‑Time Faculty (School of Social Work). University Center for Academic Excellence at UNC Charlotte. Position Number: EPTF50. Division: Academic Affairs. Department: College of Health & Human Services. Work Unit: School of Social Work. Location: CHHS. Designation: Adjunct / Part‑Time Faculty. Employment Type: Temporary – Part‑time. Hours per week: varies.
General Information Pay Rate: varies. Minimum Experience/Education: Faculty teaching undergraduate and graduate courses must hold an earned doctorate / terminal degree in social work from an accredited CSWE program and have at least 3 years post‑graduate experience. UNC Charlotte considers competence, effectiveness, and capacity, including related degrees, professional licensure, certifications, honors, awards, and documented excellence in teaching.
This position is only open to North Carolina Residents.
Departmental Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education
Past experience teaching in‑person and online social work courses.
Knowledge and comfort teaching social welfare, policy, and community‑based courses.
Duties and Responsibilities
Developing and/or updating course syllabus.
Preparation of lectures, projects, or other student assignments.
Meeting all designated class periods.
Maintaining regularly scheduled office hours.
Grading student assignments and exams in a timely manner.
Submitting completed mid‑semester progress reports and final grades according to University regulations.
