Job Description
Hydradyne is currently seeking an Outside Sales Representative for our North Charleston, SC location. As an Outside Sales representative, you will establish and expand relationships and generate new commercial business as well as perform cold calls in the field to generate new permanent sales in your local territory. You will spend your time interacting with customers to determine their fluid power and motion control needs, while providing solutions and services to meet those needs. You will have a direct impact on our customer satisfaction, retention, and sales outcomes.
Responsibilities
Proven experience in retaining customers and building repeat sales/managing a territory
Be strategic, organized, and technologically savvy in your approach to managing your sales territory
Retain sales records, pipeline reporting, and generate relevant sales and market reports on a quarterly, annual, and as needed basis
Responsible for helping set sales target goals and marketing strategy
Identify leads, manage prospects, and acquire new business
Review sales and current market information to determine the sales potential of customers
Recommend products to customers based upon their needs and business interests
Contact current and prospective customers to grow business relationships and the Hydradyne brand
Prepare drawings, estimates, and bids to meet specific needs of customers
Meet with customers to demonstrate and explain features and benefits of products and services
Obtain credit information on prospective customers
Answer questions about products, prices, quality, durability, and credit terms
Prepare lists of prospective customers, call reports, and other reports as required
Close sales contracts or forms to record sales information
Investigate and resolve customer complaints
Oversee delivery or installation of products to equipment
Qualifications
Proven experience in industrial environments
Mechanically inclined
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, sales, or a related field
Three or more years of experience with fluid power/motion control industry (hydraulics, pneumatics, fluid connectors)
Working knowledge of CRM and sales opportunities
Experience in developing and executing territory sales strategies
Strong presentation, negotiation, and closing skills
Self‑motivated and able to work independently to meet or exceed goals
