The Inside Sales Manager leads and develops a high‑performing team of Inside Sales Representatives, focused on driving revenue growth, expanding customer relationships, and achieving sales and churn objectives. This role is responsible for optimizing sales processes, managing performance through coaching and data‑driven pipeline oversight, and ensuring alignment with overall company sales strategies. Reporting directly to the VP of Sales, the Inside Sales Manager partners closely with each Sales Director to drive coordination, communication, and shared accountability across all verticals. The ideal candidate is both strategic and hands‑on, skilled in analytics and conflict navigation, and capable of fostering a collaborative, results‑driven team culture.
Responsibilities
Lead, coach, and develop a team of Inside Sales Representatives to achieve monthly GPFFA and churn targets
Monitor team activity, pipeline health, and performance metrics through CRM and reporting tools; analyze data to identify trends, opportunities, and process improvements
Provide training and feedback to improve sales techniques, customer engagement, and product knowledge
Align inside sales strategy with Sales Directors on territory plans, account strategy, customer engagement, and process improvements.
Ensure timely and accurate entry of quotes, customer updates, and communications within CRM and ERP systems
Implement best practices for outbound prospecting, lead qualification, and customer retention
Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement
Coordinate with Marketing to ensure consistent messaging, campaigns, and lead follow‑up
Manage performance conversations effectively, addressing issues constructively and maintaining team morale
Participate in forecasting, goal setting, and strategic planning with the VP of Sales
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong leadership and coaching capabilities with a proven ability to motivate sales teams
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Highly analytical with the ability to interpret performance data and make data‑driven decisions
Proficient in sales process design, pipeline management, and CRM utilization
Exceptional conflict‑resolution skills with the ability to maintain composure and fairness under pressure
Strategic thinker with a hands‑on, action‑oriented approach
Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment
Growth‑minded with a focus on ownership, accountability, and collaboration
Education and Experience
Associate‑level degree or relevant experience
5+ years of experience in inside sales leadership, preferably in a B2B or industrial environment
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
Experience with ERP systems, preferably NetSuite
Familiarity with CRM platforms such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar
Demonstrated success in managing sales metrics, forecasts, and KPIs
Working Conditions
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
Occasional travel may be required for meetings or training
