Overview Oncology Sales Consultant - Portfolio – Ft. Lauderdale, FL

This position focuses on driving clinical demand, education, and sales of Bayer Oncology Portfolio (currently NUBEQA, STIVARGA, VITRAKVI, and XOFIGO) within the assigned geography. The role is part of the Area Customer Squad responsible for commercializing all Bayer Oncology products and supporting customers in Ft. Lauderdale, Melbourne & Rockledge, FL. Travel up to 50% within the territory. The candidate must be domiciled within the territory, preferably in the Ft. Lauderdale area.

Purpose The Oncology Sales Consultant – Portfolio is responsible for driving clinical demand, education, and sales of Bayer Oncology Portfolio as determined by market dynamics in the assigned geography to healthcare professionals in free-standing clinics, treatment centers and hospitals/IDNs.

Responsibilities

Build Deep Clinical Knowledge and Drive Education:

Build deep understanding of disease states, tumor types and treatment options to educate healthcare professionals on the benefits of assigned products while balancing efficacy and safety.

Build Relationships:

Cultivate strong connections with key offices and providers, seeking feedback to meet their needs and exceed expectations.

Be Customer Centric:

Understand customer goals and priorities, tailoring messaging and solutions to customer needs.

Understand & Navigate Healthcare Environment:

Leverage industry groups and other 3rd party organizations to positively impact territory goals where appropriate.

Analyze Data to Build Territory Growth Strategy:

Review sales, market and other data to identify trends, opportunities, obstacles, and develop 90-day plans to drive outcomes.

Be Outcome-Oriented in Execution:

Implement territory strategy to consistently achieve sales targets.

Collaborate Cross-Functionally:

Partner with diverse teams to co-create solutions that meet customer needs.

Embrace Technology:

Use emerging technologies to enhance performance and improve proficiency.

Who you are Bayer is seeking an incumbent who possesses the following:

Required Qualifications

BA/BS degree;

Proven selling skills with the ability to influence prescribers;

Track record of consistent sales success;

Excellent written and verbal communication skills;

Strong teamwork and cross-functional collaboration abilities;

Negotiation and analytical skills with the ability to derive actionable insights from data;

Self-motivated and passionate about the role;

Valid driver’s license with a clean record;

Willingness to travel, including occasional overnight trips;

Subject to credentialing requirements as part of employment;

Experience launching new products/indications;

Compliance with customer credentialing and safety standards (e.g., vaccinations, training);

Understanding of PHRMA compliance guidelines;

Authenticity in the workplace.

Preferred

Degree in biological science or related field;

Minimum 5 years in pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical sales, or relevant clinical/marketing experience;

Experience selling to academic institutions or large oncology accounts;

Specialty sales experience in competitive landscapes;

Strong clinical knowledge of various tumor types (e.g. Prostate, CRC, Lung, GIST, Sarcoma, Niche Tumors or Rare Disease);

Experience in pediatric and adult oncology settings;

Background in Oncology or Precision Medicine;

Experience selling products with companion diagnostics;

Familiarity with diagnostics or genomic testing;

Understanding of buy-and-bill and oral oncology landscapes.

Compensation and Benefits Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $146,426 - $219,638. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc.

This salary range is an estimate and may vary based on location, market data, applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, degrees, certifications, and other factors.
